Risk

The adventure sports that are covered within the guides on this site are activities with a risk of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement.

It is important that you understand this and have the skills and knowledge to manage these risks, the guides on this website are designed for people who are already experienced in these sports, they are NOT a beginners guide. They are a tool for the experienced to help them plan. If you are not experienced in these sports then we recommend that you use the services of a guide or instructor.

I do my best to ensure that the information on this site is up to date and correct. However, things can change in the mountains and information can become old. I cannot accept any responsibility for this information and I have to disclaim all liability in respect of such information. Please check the information fully yourself and plan and research your trip.

Why I made this site.

I started making online guides for 3 reasons:

1)     To help promote this amazing area, it is one of the best adventure playgrounds in the world and I am keen to show it off.

2)    To help people have a great trip here. It can be hard finding information about activities and I want to be able to help people make the most of their time here. With this in mind if you have question or are looking for advice about the area please get in touch and I will do my best to help. Also check out our facebook group page.

3)    To help promote my instructing and other local guides. If you are already experienced and just want to use the guidebooks on this site that’s great, but if you would like instruction or training we are here to help, have a look at our courses, or drop me a line, I am happy to chat about finding you the right course without any hard selling.

Booking a course.

If you book at course through this site it is just the activities that you are booking with me, I can help with other details e.g. accommodation but this will be on a referral basis.

For instructing and guiding if I am not able to run it, because for example I don’t teach that sport such as skiing or I am already booked I will make a referral to a local guide/Instructor this will be with someone I know and recommend.

Referrals

Écrins Collective acts as a referrer. We do not act as an agent for operators and guides in the sense that we do not take your money on their behalf. Your contract will be with them and them only and they are fully liable for every aspect of their product that you buy, according to their own terms and conditions. So, we urge you to check these in full before you book.
