Description:
From the parking at Le Laus join the ski de fond track as the road closes heading towards the Refuge Napoleon, stay on the track until around the 2117m point and then you have two options. The first is to head west on a track to the Chalets d’izoard, from these old building head south west across a flat and rolling hills to the col at 2420m. The second option is to stay on the ski defond track a short while longer and then in the middle of a longer straight head west through the trees, this is the way the ING map shows and is a nice trip through the trees, but not as popular, you follow a stream bed and then skirt the bottom slopes of Clot la Cime and then up to the col.
Descent:
You can go either way back, going via the chalets d’Izoard will give you snow that has been exposed to the sun so stands a chance of transforming, option two is shadier, so it depends on what gives you best snow.
