A steep line in among some cliffs . You want to be sure on your skis for this one.

Description

From the parking on the south side of the tunnel des Vallouis, you will see the big rock face of the Tête de Colombe in front of you (above the parking). Climb to the southern side of the tête. Follow the cliff face to a corner and the start of the couloir.

Depending on snow levels there are two starts, left is direct but tight, or right is less steep and more open  (for second option head up and then move left at the top to join the main couloir). Climb the couloir to the top. From there it is a easy skin to the summit.

Descent.

From the summit ski back to the start of the couloir. There is a shorts steep section before it reaches the crux steeper section. The steepness decreases as you descend, but it still never gets easy and you need to be on it.

As you descend you reach the point where the two ascent options meet and you can again choose an option for descent. Staying in the main couloir drops down to the tight passage. Heading left to the easier more open option.

Once out the couloir you can follow you tracks back to the parking.
