Description:
The parking is at 1568m but this can be difficult to access as they don’t always clear the snow past the village of Les Roberts; if this is the case park with consideration at Les Roberts and skin up the road to the 1568m point. At this point (a right-hand bend in the road) you can turn off onto a small track. As you leave the road you can sometimes look up and see the roofs of the houses at les Garcines - that is where you are heading. Follow the path until you cross a small stream and continue into the trees, following it as it turns right up a steep slope. Follow this zigzag path until you come upon Les Garcines. (The path normally goes well to the left of the houses.) From there head up through the tree line and onto a broad shoulder. You should see steep, craggy ground in front of you. Turn left and make your way to a valley on the left, traversing until you come to a steep section with a crag on the left. Climb up here until it opens out again. Then, going rightwards, head up the valley, which bends back left round a small hill. There are rocks up on the right; climb right to the ridge and then the summit.
Descent:
As you look down you should see a small bowl made by the small hill. If you head right and don’t drop to the bottom of the bowl you can go through a small col and then back to the ascent tracks, or go left and follow your tracks back.
